Every season for the Prelude Ballet Ensemble is different dependent upon the planned program, number of dancers, choreographers and performance opportunities.

Typically, rehearsals are conducted once a week, usually on Saturday for 3-4 hours. This season we are alternating among Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons and Sunday evenings.  Additional rehearsals are called as necessary to get ready for performances. In addition, we specify which dances are being rehearsed when, so you attend only when needed. The dancers are permitted three absences between when we start rehearsal and the Gala. Exceptions to this rule are occasionally made with approval of the Artistic Director.   A class or warmup will be given by the Ensemble prior to rehearsals. All members participate in ballet classes at their home dance school on other days of the week.   Prelude Ballet Ensemble offers opportunities to perform.
